Former Manchester United player and coach Phil Neville has been appointed as the assistant manager at La Liga club Valencia.
The 38-year-old played for Manchester United for a number of years before returning as an assistant to former manager, David Moyes.
Since leaving his post at United, Phil has been working as a pundit for the BBC.
After several weeks of speaking with Valencia, Phill rejected an offer to become Steve McClaren’s No.2 at Newcastle.
"Phil
Neville has great experience at the top level of competition, but above
all he has knowledge and values that fit perfectly with our team and
our club," Valencia manager, Nuno said.
"He
has always been a team player, and our philosophy is based on teamwork.
We are - and want to continue to be - a group. I am convinced that he
is going to help us a lot."
